“State of the Union” with Insight

January 14, 2009

And what a state America is IN!!!!!!! Through time her health has deteriorated. First it was an appendectomy, followed by a gall bladder operation. Next it was a loss of a lung [the right one I think]. Then one kidney failed and shortly after that she had to have a kidney transplant. Well guess what? Ya! a cancerous tumor had to be cutout of the liver. And now we find her in Intensive Care after  quadruple bypass surgery on the heart, with the prognosis looking rather bleak. How fast things can slip away when you start down the “primrose path”.

Now America finds herself poised for a depression and the world with her, that will make the so called “Great Depression” of 1929 [what’s so great about a depression anyway] look like FUN. Oh, by the way it included the whole world also.

Back before the “Great Depression” of 1929 the people were relatively debt free. A strong  family unit was the foundation of this once great nation.  They would save their money up and then buy what they needed. The family farm was a big part of  America, and most other people had  their own gardens. The country had a strong moral fiber.  Most of the people could think for themselves,  solve their own problems. They didn’t shun responsibility.

Then came the “Great Depression” and life as they knew it changed forever. The stock market crash [which the rich and famous made possible] put into motion destructive forces that took down the greater part  of the people. Things became hard, just being able to feed their families was tough, let alone have a home. The masses were in such a bad way, that they were ready to try just about anything.

Herbert Hoover was president when it all started to go bad. Certain people tried to push him for radical social change , but he didn’t want to be that guy. Well that guy soon came. FDR, [Franklin Delano Roosevelt] was the right character for job. He and his cohorts ushered in the “New Deal” [RAW DEAL would be a better title] which would change America forever.

Back in 1913 the Federal Reserve came into being.  In 1933 the country  came off the “Gold Standard”[more on these topics at a later date].  This made it possible to fund  social programs and governmental departments of all kinds, supported  with what would become a massive bureaucracy. Here are some words for your consideration: “And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.” Thomas Jefferson.

At one time a father could earn enough money that the mother could  be home to take care of the family and home. Now in most cases even with both parents working it’s not enough. The family unit is in a shambles with widespread divorce. The moral fabric is in great decay. Heck, common decency is almost non-existent. Now what once was right is now wrong, and what was wrong is now right. No wonder people are confused at what to do. We turn over our responsibilities to the professionals. We  give up our freedoms for so called safety. Read now an interesting quote: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” Benjamin Franklin.

Look at America now!!! The nations [the people] debt is outrageous at best. Trillons upon trillions of those nice Federal Reserve Notes, pieces of paper backed by our belief only, nothing else. Sooner or later, probably to soon, the holders of these pieces of paper will demand payment.[this money thing is another topic for another article.] Which will wreck our economy.

We now have unemployment of a grand scale, and becoming worse by the day. And what work you can find will hardly pay the bills, and with inflation and taxes constantly  going up eating up any extra you might have had,  how do you survive. The corporations move our jobs to other countries to maximize their profit. Eventually who is going to buy what’s being produced. Americans represent the biggest consumers of goods in the world by far. The time is coming when we won’t be able buy these products. Then the bottom will fall out of this charade. The illusion will be gone, and we will have to face the fact of trying to just survive this great apocalypse that will descend upon us. Most will be totally unprepared. It will be a terrible, NO, your worst nightmare possible. Read Scripture the greatest written word ever. The great handbook for us all. Study the word of the Almighty.

There is so many different topics I wish to write about. They all have there own effect upon us.

Read now some prophecy from Scripture  in Rev. 18:4,5

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
“For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

These words are directed right at us. Studying Scripture is the best thing a person can do. Most people don’t have a clue about what it contains, and how to apply it to their life. I have studied Scripture for many years, and will  continue until I die. I’ve learned a lot and will learn more I’m sure.

Until next time, good day!
